two schemes, one address space: the matrix tag encodes architecture (layer·domain); the mnemonic tag reads as a word
Every live product holds one address in a single 8-bit hex space: the high nibble is its architecture layer, the low nibble its domain. intelligence flows upward through the layers, expertise flows sideways through the domains, and the empty cells are the roadmap.

Domain nibbles are semantic, not sequential: 1–4, then A (Autonomous) and F (Frameworks) — hex letters chosen as initials. Nibbles 5–9 and B–E are deliberately unassigned headroom; the taxonomy can absorb new domains without renumbering.

9 of 24 cells publicly live. Whitespace is priced optionality, not vacancy. Internal work may already occupy a cell — an address appears here only when its receipt is publicly probeable.
Where data becomes substrate. Dx³ (0x11) sits alone here by design: PostgreSQL + pgvector + Apache AGE unified as the portfolio’s shared data substrate — intelligence at ingestion, not retrieval. It is the layer everything else stands on.
Where substrate becomes coordinated work. Forge (0x24) governs multi-AI coding; skinny.cloud (0x22) audits and cuts what enters an agent’s context. Both control the pipe; neither produces the judgment.
Where coordinated work becomes judgment. GEO Grader (0x32) judges how LLMs read, cite, and rank a site; Faultline (0x33) judges whether AI claims are true against live evidence; Atlas (0x34) judges repo health and cross-project patterns. The densest live layer — the portfolio’s center of gravity is turning data into verdicts.
Where judgment is put in front of humans. FamilyMind (0x42) reduces family mental load; Arcade (0x4F) ships playable consumer product. This is the layer where a verdict has a face.
An address is a claim
Only publicly verifiable products enter the public address space. LIVE means publicly probeable today; every entry carries a receipt link. Unlaunched products don’t get an address.
One LIVE product per cell
All public matrix tags are distinct. The tag IS the layer·domain cell, so uniqueness means at most one LIVE product per cell.
The lab carries no address
LAB entries have no matrix, no link, no blurb — names only, so nothing can overclaim. No public address without a public receipt.
Addresses are leases, not property
An address names the architecture cell, not the product forever. When a product’s receipt lapses, its address returns to the pool. 0x32 has already changed hands once.
Families inherit the byte
Variants and body kits inherit the family byte; they never mint siblings. The whole Faultline family ships under 0x33 — a cell names an architecture position, not a SKU count.
Mnemonics are minted, not owed
A mnemonic is a vanity byte assigned only when the byte itself reads: 0x60 is “GO” for Forge; 0x8B is the 8-bit byte for Dx³. Valid hex only, founder-ratified, never primary — and it occupies the same address space.
Architecture, not marketing
Every tag decodes into a layer and a domain. Products may share a digit — only the full pair is unique.
Zero-fabrication substrate
Every addressed product’s receipt must be independently probeable — which is why the lab is address-less rather than given placeholder addresses.
